| Maintenance of your fibreglass lined pools: |
Now that your Pool has been fibreglass lined, here are a few handy and basic hints to remember: No Metal objects - such as metal Brushes should be used in a Fibreglass Lined Pool. Nails, Screws,Washers & Hairpins should be removed from pool immediately. All of the aforementioned will leave Rust Marks. As Fibreglass is more Acidic than Marbelite adjustments need to be made when checking your water with your Pool “Test Kit” (Test Kit Chemicals should be changed annually). The correct reading/levels should be as follows and these should be checked at least twice a month even if you use a Salt Water Type Chlorinater System. |

A PH: reading of below 6.8 indicates the need for an Alkaline substance to be added. With a Fibreglass Lined Pool it is recommended that Bicarbonate of Soda be used. Do NOT use Soda Ash with a Fibreglass Lined Pool. Maintaining these levels WILL ensure that your Pool water will always remain Clear and Sparkling. Maintaining these levels WILL ensure that the Fibreglass surface will always remain free of Algae growth and Scale formation. When adding either H.T.H. (Chlorine granules) or Hydrochloric Pool Acid to your Pool it is recommended that these be dissolved – separately – in a bucket of water before adding to the pool water and preferably into the Skimmer Box with the Pump on. Occasional brushing of the Pool sides is recommended. If your Pool water has been Stabilized and you use the “Pill or Month Mate type floating Chlorine unit” it is important that you use only Non Stabilized (Cynuric Acid Free) “Pill/ Floating units”. The continued use of Stabilized ”pills/ Floating units” can cause an excessive build up of Stabilizer which in turn can result in a Further Complications. Following these basic instructions will ensure that the maintenance and care of your Swimming Pool is not a time consuming chore. | GUARANTEE / CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT: | |
| 1. | A Fibreglass Matt Lining carries a 3 year Guarantee from date of completion against Delamination from the base structure only. |
| 2. | Delamination caused by Ground and or Paving movement is not covered by this Guarantee. |
| 3. | The base structure is not covered by this Guarantee if not constructed by ourselves. |
| 4. | Access to Property and Electrical Supply to be available/ provided. |
| 5. | On completion of the Fibreglass Lining the Pool must be filled per our verbal instructions and the onus is on the client to ensure that sufficient water is available for this purpose. Failure to fill the pool per our instructions could render the Guarantee null and void. |
| 6. | All Pools are finished in White unless another colour is specified.Colours other than White will fade and possibly tend to be “blotchy” in places. |
| 7. | The Guarantee does not cover variations in colour ,marks or stains from whatever cause. |
| 8. | Should any structural faults be found on emptying the Pool or should it be necessary to effect additional work due to High Water Table same will be pointed out to the client and the necessary work involved/ carried out will be for clients account. |
| 9. | Any additional work requested/ carried out will be charged for. |
| 10. | Any measurements given for Pool construction/ Renovations are to be regarded as approximate and tolerances must be allowed for. |
| 11. | Work on Portapools/ Relining of Fibreglass Pool Shells- Due to the nature of their construction/ installation no Guarantee can be given that movement, on the sides of same, or the paving will not occur when the aforementioned type of Pools are emptied and the client hereby indemnifies Silver Solutions c.c./their appointed Sub-Contractors against any possible damage which may occur and accepts that possible additional remedial work incurred will be for clients account. |
| 12. | It is incumbent upon the owner to ensure correct Chemicalization is carried out as per our standard “Maintenance Instruction Schedule”. |
| 13. | The Pool may not be emptied without our prior written or verbal consent. |
| 14. | The validity of this Guarantee is subject to our Invoice having been paid in full. |
| 15. | The guarantee is only transferable if countersigned by the buyer and the seller of the property as well as an authorized Member of Silver Solutions c.c. |
