Objectives

The aim of all Counter Poaching Game Rangers are:

1. To ensure the territorial integrity of protected areas by a high standard of specialized training.
   
2. To prevent the poaching of all species especially endangered species.
   
3. To find a poacher guilty by collected intelligence when arrests are being made by police and prosecuted in a court of law. (The Counter Poaching Game Ranger is not there to arrest the poacher although highly trained to operate in any circumstance, but to collect all evidence by photo and video material to supply the evidence as to connect the poacher to a specific crime seen or conservation area where poaching had taken place.)
   
4. To have the ability to follow and protect endangered species in a high risk Park or Game Farm to prevent poaching of such endangered species, for instance Black Rhino, without disturbance to the animal or compromising his presence to poachers.

Once Training is complete, you would have accquired the following skills

* Use of a telescope
* Tracking footprint ID of animals/humans
* Survival , Navigation, Self Defense, First Aid and Discipline
* Ability to identify all species and endangered species, animals / plants / birds / insects.
* River crossing, Kayaking
* Intelligence Collection
* Operational methods of poachers and Fire Arms
* Boarding and guiding of landing choppers and aeroplanes
* Radio Communication and Infrared Equipment
* Night Sights and Exceptional Bush Skills
* Park Management (Private and National)
* Knowledge of Big 6
* Methods of target penetration
* Small team training , tactics and operations
* Infiltration in poaching area's
