A New Era in Standard Phone Line Communications

Rockwell's new modem technology enables Internet connections at accelerated rates up to 56,000 bits per second across standard analog phone lines in the home. Bridging the gap between current analog transmission rates and fully digital communication -- such as Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) -- this new technology offers substantially faster speeds without requiring the added investment of installing digital lines.

An industry alliance will submit the technology specifications to the appropriate standardization bodies in an effort to make the technology a worldwide interoperable standard.
